The Living

This is the story of two lives: of Claire, a single mother working in one of England's last remaining shoe factories; and of Arun, an elderly Indian man who still makes chappals by hand. These are lives woven through with work and the responsibility of family, laced with the joys of friendship, the redemptive kindness of children and the pleasures of sex.
