Henry Quinn has spent three harrowing years in jail. The only reason he's lived to tell the tale is Evan Riggs, a country singer serving a life sentence for murder. When Henry is released, he is determined to fulfil his promise to Evan by delivering a letter to Evan's daughter - the child he never met. When Henry arrives in Evan's hometown, there's no sign of the girl anywhere. Evan's brother Carson, sheriff and chief proponent of the law, claims to know nothing.
