National Curriculum English Year 6

This book can help your child by providing a whole year of ready

being taught in school from 2014.

Did you know that your child in Year 6 will now need to; spell words
with silent letters (such as 'island'); use the subjunctive (using
'were' and 'be' to say things that may or may not be true or
about wishes, for example: 'If I were Prime Minister I would make
weekends longer' but you're not the Prime Minister so you can't);
use expanded noun phrases to convey complicated information
concisely.
