The Epics Of Homer

This is the story of the Trojan War - a long and bloody conflict fought over the beautiful Helen of Troy, a war waged by mortals, yet engineered by immortals - spiteful Eris, conniving Aphrodite, jealous Hera and Athene.

This book takes the main evens of 'The Iliad', the epic poem attributed to Homer which describes the wrath of might Achilles, the Greek hero, and shows how his anger shapes the war. Then recounts the adventures told of in 'The Odyssey', the story of one man's attempt to return home after the war - a journey beset by monsters, angry gods and even love - struck nymphs! But around these are placed the events that led up the war, and fill in the gaps to show how the war ended.

This is a tale of mighty heroes, cunning leaders, dangerous exploits, bloody battles, broken hearts, perilous seas, capricious gods and goddesses and, of course, ferocious, cruel and deadly monsters and adversaries. What more could you possibly ask for in a story?
