1932 Lockheed Vega Model 5 -Shell

The 1927 Lockheed Vega 5B was made famous by Amelia Earhart in a brave attempt to be the first woman to cross the Atlantic alone. The Bega 5B, with its single high wing, is in the Pionners of Flight room at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
